Our product nurtures families and it is our intention to continue to make our beautiful baby carriers while nurturing the Greatest of all Mother's; Mother Earth.
It is important to us to welcome conversation and enquiry around our values, ethics and social responsibilities and so we wanted to share with you a little about how we try to make progress on this most important value.
We strive to be conscious, accountable and transparent in these matters. Always learning and improving.
Our manufacturing and production partners are on the journey with us and together we are always trialling new techniques and practices as our awareness grows.

We are 100% Australian Owned and Made. We source our fabric locally in Melbourne, Australia – the fabric we use on your carrier is specially knitted for BabyDink and is certified by
The Global Organic Textile Standard(GOTS).
The standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of all textiles made from at least 70% certified organic natural fibres
Our carriers are sewn by skilled professionals, using our buttery soft organic cotton fabric. These incredible sewers share with us deep knowledge of the textiles industry, ensuring love and care goes into every carrier we produce. We strive to minimise fabric wastage which means less textiles end up in landfill.
It is so important to us to keep our Manufacturing here in Australia to help support Australian businesses and minimise our global footprint. Being made locally is so important to us, we have a great relationship with our Melbourne-based manufacturers. This means we have the ability to create a higher quality product that supports local, family run businesses.
After our product is stitched and sewn, we continue our commitment to sustainable practices.
For example, all BabyDink carriers come stored in a re-usable cotton pouch, making our product 100% plastic free.
We offer specialty gift wrapping and our paper is 100% Recycled and eco friendly.
In addition to this we are currently transitioning to source all marketing materials to be 100% recyclable or compostable, in alignment with this goal we are proud to be partnering with industry leaders; The Better Packaging Co.
We use Better Packaging comPOST packs to ship our orders to you – made from from totally biodegradable and compostable materials; corn starch, PLA (synthesised from corn) and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate). PLA (Polylactide) is a bio-based, biodegradable material made from renewable plant material (starches such as corn husks, rice straw and wheat straw).
Better Packaging Co parcels can be added to your compost bin! Simply remove the printed label from the parcel and place it with your fruit and vegetable scraps in your compost bin!
The final stage in our supply chain is of course shipping and again we proudly partner with another conscious Australian company; Australia Post, providing carbon neutral shipping throughout Australia.
As a garment manufacturer BabyDink is aware of it potential to impact our planet and we acknowledge we can always seek improvement and so we align with a 'slow' manufacturing philosophy.
The choices we make each day within our company will always consider the planet before profit.
What does this mean for the consumer? A higher quality Australian made product that is made to last. We embrace a ‘fewer but better’ mentality. Which means, when your babe has outgrown your BabyDink, you can hold onto it for your next baby, or pass on to a friend.
